We decided awhile ago it would be bad parenting to let the kids grow up in Colorado and not teach them to ski. Unfortunately for them, neither of their parents ski…so we had to get them into lessons.
They’ve done well in lessons and soon they will be ready to conquer the mountain without an instructor. Of course that means one of the non-skiing parents will have to step up and go with them…
During the lessons they start on a small hill for a warm up. But the majority of the day is spent on on the mountain skiing the greens (beginner hills). Eric took up snowboarding so he spends a lot of time at the terrain park learning how to shred! The video below shows off some of their skills on the small hill. I’ve also included some pictures of the drive up. This trip was to Winter Park. (click any of the pictures to make them bigger)

Thanks so much Gary and Wendi for keeping us posted. I’m not sure though who the biggest kids are in your family! The both of you seem to be enjoying all your many fun activities as much as your kids do! How fun is that?
Let’s hope mom and dad stay safe!,
